First ever Moon (DLSR only)

My first ever Moon from 6th May - only got round to processing it on Photoshop now!

Details of image settings:

EOS 600D

EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 IS II lens

Settings @ 53mm f/11 100m

This was a tiny moonshot blown up thanks to the large sensor resolution, affording it a fair amount of detail considering!

Nice work, considering @53mm, must have been tiny on the chip, focusing looks good too.

On the LiveView display it was just a speck. I was very disappointed until I plugged in the SD Card to my PC. Was difficult to tell if it was in focus until viewed at full res.

Did you know that you can press + to enlarge the liveview picture......you probably did but just in case.

Great first image like Ben said good for the focal length , try in video mode and use some digital zoom ( not too much though ) then stack in registax when you have a few mins worth might be worth a test .

Second moon (waxing crescent) taken with 75-300mm ES lens at Dusk. Image was desaturated and this was the result after some cropping...
