Todays Sun in white light

A rare glimpse of the Sun prompted me to get out my camera gear. A while since I've used my camera due to the rubbish weather we've been having, which is why I forgot to check the ISO setting and used ISO800. D'oh!

Didn't realise until I was processing my shots this evening so it was too kate by then. Hopefully it'll show it's face tomorrow when I can have another go at my usual ISO200.

Details - 20 shots taken with 420mm prime telephoto on my Nikon D300 through mylar filter. 1/5000s at f8. Stacked and fiddled with in Registax, then fiddled with some more in CS3.

It's come out nicely anyway Kev. Good detail in that monster region too
