ATIK16ic dew / fog

Hi guys Gals, if some one owns an ATIK16 please let me know how they solved the dewing on the CCD plate...even after 30 min of pre-cooling its still forms water droplets, Oye!!!

I had this problem with my Atik Titan. The solution was replacing the desicant inside the case. Not sure if the 16ic is the same but on the Titan you have to take it apart, inside there is a large silver screwed cover about the size of a one pence piece, remove the cover and the desicant can be removed and replaced. I got the new desicant tablets from Atik at Astrofest.

Suggest you contact them to see if this can be done on your 16ic.

Is the dew on the CCD or on the glass? If on the glass, is it on the inside or the outside?

If it's on the CCD or inside, then follow the solution already given. If outside, you need to heat it (I used a dew tape on my CCD).
