Capacity of Skytee 2 mount

Hi All,

As a new recruit I thought I would be so bold as to ask for some advice on mounting a 90mm APO and a (when arrived) Meade LX200 8" SCT OTA. Have a AZ4 at the moment but would like to get Skytee2 mount as I guess it fits on current tripod? Will mount cope with both scopes?

it does have the fitting for the AZ4 tripod, i also think the scope will be fine on the skytee 2, no problems

I have just seen a Skytee tonight on a AZ4 pod with an extension pillar. An Equniox 120 was on board, all very stable. This set up would easily have taken another scope on the other side, you would have no bother with the scopes you are suggesting I would have thought.

Thanks very much for replies, had some thoughts about mounting the 90mm as a large finder scope on either side or top mount when paired with 8" SCT on skytee2. Does that make sense or am I being silly!

I thinknit depends if its a long tube frac. The eyepieces could be at very different heights

The scope to pair up with the 8" SCT is a 90mm APO similiar to a WO Megrez so quite a short tube so maybe ok
