TAL Finder scope bracket

Well the latest thing I have been up to is to knock up a finder scope bracket for a fellow stargazer.

He wanted to fit his TAL finderscope to his Pentax refractor.

As it has a totally different fitting I offered to make him a new mount to suit.

The scope holder is machined from a single billet of Aluminium with the bracket leg being machined from a piece of Aluminium 'T' section.

Nice job, i will have to keep you in mind, there is a danger you could become the resident sgl engineer, i so miss working in a large machine shop

If there is one thing I don't miss is the large engineering machine shop, I much prefer working in my nice quite workshop on my own.

Far more peaceful and relaxing.
