1.25"Celestron visual back M35 thread

Hi.

I was wondering: do you have any idea what could the M35 thread on the 1.25" Celestron visual back be used for?

It has a 1mm pitch, and personally i couldn't find any use for it. As a matter of fact, i can't find a proper use for this VB altogether. Why couldn't they just provide a 2" VB + 1.25" reduction instead?

I took mine, out of the C8-XLT, and planning to make an adapter for it to go on an old M42 tele lens - it will also have a 2" diameter nose-piece to go into the 2" VB too.

I believe that thread size fits the extension adaptor and the eyepiece projection adaptor.

(Like you I've never found a good use for it!!)

Adaptor M35 to T2 - low profile

I never thought there was something to fit in there Why couldn't they just make it M42 straight from the very beginning? It's like trying to scratch your nose but you start with your belly first
