Advantage of LRGB

Hey guys, just wandering what the advantages (or disadvantages) or LRGB imaging is compared to composite imaging?

LRGB

+ full mono resolution (nothing lost in debarring)

+ 16bit per colour per pixel

+ choose the wave lengths via filters

- time required

- expense of filters

Having just moved to LRGB im very inexperienced however overall I think the Pluses are worth it.

I will give you one opinion, go 2 inch from the get go.

For a given quality LRGB is the fastest system available, especially if you bin the colour. Even if you don't it is faster than OSC. I have both and am not knocking the OSC. I like it and it makes running two or three rigs easier for me by a mile. If you do short colour exposures that look overwhelmed by the stong L signal there are processing techniques for low noise colour saturation boosting which work well.

Many objects come alive in HaLRGB or HaRGB, notably emission nebulae.
