steelfixer
Perry no problems all means to the same ends.I have a bader filter here I use with my Samsung, that will do for a start.Peter - Thanks for the link I will go and have a read. The baby bath is actually a very good idea. I trust you take the little un out first. lolI will do it on my work bench I use to make jewellery, velvet topped with a 13mm high raised edge all the way round.thanksGraham
Psychobilly
Ah an even better solution maybe... I used to use "pit towels" back in the RC racing (in the loosest sense) days to stop the little bits pinging off but you want a dust free environment.. the CCD and filter surfaces are a real dust magnet... steelfixer
Cheers Peter I have had a read through and it seems simple enough.I was going to leave the filter out and put a bader filter in the nosepiece. What do you recon or should I get the proper filter for the camera. Psychobilly
If your only going to use it on a scope then no.. If you may want to do widefield with camera lenses yes... the filter is thicker in the 350D so it changes the focus a lot more..The L series lenses I have bought recently have much more focus tavel beyond infinty and they come to focus on my filter removed 350D the normal EF and EF-S lenses wouldn't...Peter... pel
I'd read about the change in focus with different/no filters. The nose-piece filters look to cost more money too. Let us know how you get on Graham. This article amongst others was useful for me and I learnt a bit -DSLR Modification for Astrophotography - Canon Digital Photography Forums
steelfixer
Thanks for the info people.I am only going to be using this for astro stuff through the telescopes so I will just remove the filter and use the bader filter I already have.thanksGraham
