Barlow lens prices advice please

What should I expect to pay for a 3x Barlow lens? Do you get what you pay for? Should I expect an obvious answer there? Are there any losses the more x you get? Any recommendations for a Skywatcher 150p?

Is this for visual observation or for imaging ?

Generally you do get what you pay for in all things optical. The TAL barlows seem to be the best in the lower price niche - they are £35 each.

Both really. I'm just getting started and want to use the SPC900 to do some planetary photography (when it stops raining!)...

You will find the webcam similar to a 6mm EP, a x2 will make that a 3mm EP, a x3 a 2mm EP. Trying to keep a focused image on the SPC900's sensor with the x3 will be a great challenge.

The tracking just managed it on mine last night for a little while but that was with two 2x barlows stacked lol

Unless you have tracking anything more than one 2x barlow maybe a challenge.

Well the honest answer is, because I could lol

I wanted to see what it would look like on the webcam and whether it would track it.

It was one of those 'what if' moments I suppose:icon_confused:
