brantuk
Try googling 12Dstring or CCDCalc - both free and give a good guide for imaging and observing. If you want to calculate the magnification of any of your eyepieces just divide the eyepiece size into the focal length of the scope. E.g. fl=750mm, eyepiece=10mm, then magnification = 750/10 = 75x mag (if you use a 2x barlow this becomes 150x mag).
jflowers
Hi D.CShould be easy enough to work out with any calculator, just divide Folcal length of the scope by the Focal Length of the eyepiece so if your scopes FL is 1000mm and you have a 10mm EP, 1000/10=100x mag.If its more advanced stuff your trying to work out, try...Tele Vue EP Calc HTHJon
Naz
Just divide the focal length of your scope by the focal length of your ep, that gives you the magnification. e.g. scope focal length of scope = 1000mm, ep focal length 25mm. 1000mm divided by 25mm = 40X magnification
