Off to a dark sky site over Easter?

For what it's worth, I am... I'm off to visit parents in Trough of Bowland, Chipping to be precise.

Not got much of a chance to visit dark skies regularly, so scope is disassembled and packed in the car. Weather isn't meant to be good (drizzle) but it always surprises me how some nights become clear. The view, if it happens, should be a-mazing, the only thing spoiling it will be a full ish moon...

Dark skies this weekend here in East Yorks. We call it cloud, no pesky bright stars to spoil our sky.

My fault I'm afraid....

Bought a new EP and a binoviewer.

Clear tonight though, but poor seeing, air is roiling, and Moon is full. Still, I tried my new toys briefly. :-)

I just love that area - you're dead lucky having folks there and the absence of light pollution is a fabulous bonus
