Venus and Mars

Amazing, had a quick hour's worth of observing last night (Wed280312) and with my humble 4SE, 2x barlow and a 12mm Revelation EP was able to clearly see a first/last quarter phase of Venus, and got detail on Mars (no ice caps but clear distinction between a very pale red colour and what appeared as multiple green areas) even though I had quite a bit of light pollution to deal with. Both are firsts for me, what a great way to spend an hour : )
