The Moon and Venus

I don't normally post in the Observing section (being more of an imager), but I have share my experience of the moon and venus together just now in broad daylight

I've never really appreciated that a planet (other than the Earth) could be seen when the sun is still up, but the crescent moon is about 2 degrees south west of Venus ..and the two look stunning together...I'm quite blown away.

I'd write more, but I'm just off back out with my binos.

It's beautiful and I took a basic image on my DSLR. It still wasn't completely dark when Jupiter joined the party too.
