You know i was always of the opinion that astronomy books were pretty much the same. once u bought one astronomy book, you bought them all.

But i must say of late there does appear to be some interesting titles. The Patrick moore series for practicle astronomy seems to be of immense interest.

I intend to by a few of these.

There is also Beginners Guide to the Cosmos by Adam Hart-Davis. A BBC book. Again another one i found so hard to put down that i bought it.

In fact i could have bought dozens more.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Mary Hawkins (stephen hawkins wife) seems to have written a book as well. although i forget its name at the moment!

you know i really must get a copy of that.

That beginners guide to to the cosmos though, its an addictive read.

Nice to see some fresh look books appearing on the market. Not the run of the mill star atlas's etc.

The Variable stars book, part of the practicle astronomers series is good
