two webcams one pc

I have been trying to find a thread which started somewhere about running two identical webcams from one pc, using sharpcap or wx astrocapture if possible. Can anyone point me in right dirrection?

I don't know where the thread is, but I can tell you that you can run two cameras with K3CCD tools.

I've had my Windows XP Toshiba laptop freeze up with two webcams that were the same. If I remember right, it was ok if I didn't put the two webcams on the same USB hub but used the 2 different laptop USB ports for them.

K3CCD is a programme that I have never tried, will look into it this evening if time allows. Pressume this is a purchace piece of software? Not that it matters if it works well!

I think there is a free version but even the paid for one is very cheap - think when I bought it, it was around £20
