A chance encounter

Imaging the Ring Nebula and other stuff early this morning and picked this up on one of the frames.

According to Starry Night, it is Irridium 81 which was passing quite near at about 20 minutes past midnight.

More to the point, the skies down here last night were fantastic without a cloud to spoil the view. One of those evenings when you wished there were more planets in the sky to image as I think the results would have been good.

C'est la vie.
