Skytee2 or tripod

Hello,

I am currently using an okay camera tripod for quick viewing with my wo70ed. It has served me well but I am getting tired of the messing about with the shakes and I'm looking to upgrade. The camera tripod will still do for holidays.

I have seen the Skytee2 but it is quite a lot of money (it would be nice if there was a Skytee1 at half the price).

I am curious to ask if anybody knows if there is any other altaz tripod head that would fit onto an eq6? I like the weight of the eq6 and its no problem putting it in the back of the van.

Failing this I plan to buy a new tripod but would like something that is quite stable, but then I fear I will be up in costs of the Skytee2 anyway

So if I am budgeting at around £150 does anybody have a good suggestion..

I'm not aware of one that will fit an EQ6 tripod though I'm sure there is an adapter out there costing a fortune no doubt. The CG5 tripod is the same as the EQ6 only with a different EQ5/ HEQ5 coupler. The Skytee will fit this as far as I'm aware.

Thanks Spaceboy, I think I may go for a manfrotto 701 head and make a collar to fit..
