T-ring to barlow

Hi just wondering before I spend any cash, my 2x barlow has a threaded section at the eye piece end and I think this means I can connect a t-ring straight to it without needing a t-mount. Would this be correct or am I just as well to get a mount anyway.

If it screws in and works then I'd say do it. As and when you get a chance, try it with an adaptor, and also you may be able to unscrew the barlow lens if you want a widefield view. Carefully, of course.

Thanks squagnut. I think thats what I shall do. Never thought about removing glass part of barlow, good idea. I know it comes to pieces easy enough as I had to strip it to clean it when I got it.
