Tripod spares

Hi. I somehow managed to over-tighten the collar on one of my tripod legs and it unfortunately snapped. (doh). A blob of glue held it but as soon as it was under tension again, it pulled away so alas a an evenings viewing on my knees at low level.

Does anybody have an idea if there are any replacement/spares websites or shops (in Kent) that i can get a replacement. The only downside is the collar is riveted on to the leg chassis, so am hoping i need only to replace the leg..

You might find a spare on "astroboot" - they have loads of trinkets on a regular basis - I reckon they break down second hand or shop soiled gear and sell off for spares - but that's only speculation

Make sure you phone them and get them to confirm what you'll be getting. I ordered a Skywatcher 60mm refractor OTA that was advertised as using 1.25 eyepieces.

I received a Vivitar scope that looks like it use .965 eyepieces !!!

Needless to say it'll be going back.
