Spikes on Planets

It has been a long time since i had had a reflector and I don't miss my SCT on dso but on planets the spikes are a little off putting... i see lots of people say that reflectors are good for planets but i think these spikes ruin my view. how do you get around thislesson this effect or do you feel that they spikes do not distract for view?

i am considering buying a larger dob but might need a mak or frac for cover the planets? suggestions welcome

I think the diffraction spikes on bright objects are one of the things you either get used to or not.

One solution is the curved vane spider. The diffraction is still there, but is not concentrated in the spikes.
