Zachariah
Finally clear skies! Tried out my new scope and new sw 32mm lens.Orion a beautifull sight with new lens and celestron lx 12mmJupiter too far down to get view.Mars, at last first time for me, very small red ball. Too low down over rooftops.Saturn this morning, wow! Lots of glow from road meant sky too light, but a wonderful sight in 12mm. Thought I could see cassini, but not sure, should have let scope cool downFirst real go with skymax 127 supatrak and it worked a treat tracking mars for 15 mins or more. Not bad seeing as I only guessed pointing north. The sw 32mm plossl is a great lens in agreat scope.
Mr Q
Congrats on your "first light"! Light pollution can drastically cut down on your ability to see fainter deep sky objects, which your scope is capable of. Try to observe objects nearly above where the LP is lowest or better, try moving to a darker sky site.
paul schofield
Congrats on seeing Saturn. It's amazing the word wow always goes along with Saturn, it is a wonderful sight. You will definitely get better results with a cooled down scope, my 200p takes about an hour. Happy gazing, Continued clear skies.
