my first scope

for my very fist scope i am torn between 2 both by meade 1 refractor starnavigator 102 goto and ds2114 reflector and as one person asked me what do you want to see as much as possible!can i have your thoughts /comments on them thanks

I would eschew GOTO in favour of better apperture, but it's a personal thing

thanks for the replys i have had a look on the web i like the look of the skywatcher 130p goto and also the skymax 102 maksutov-cassegrain i dont understand what that stands for can anyone enlighten me thanks

A Maksutov-Cassegrain is a mixture of lens and mirror design. They are usually very compact and have relatively long focal lengths providing good magnifications for the Moon and planets. A good allrounder is one of the 127mm versions.
