I'm hugely envious of some of the fantastic shots which get posted here, but I'm still amazed at how much detail I can see with this simple method on my DOB. It's a bit of a let down after some of the recent mosaics which I've seen but I still hope it's of some interest.

Peter, i have to admit a little envy at your lunar A-focal shots, think im using the wrong camera, does your camera have manual focus

I have a Canon Powershot S95 and I don't focus with the camera at all. I set it to manual & macro modes & focus with the scope.

thats what i thought, my camera`s wont let me do manual, and the auto focus seems to get it slightly soft each time

Yes, and I use it to attach the camera to a Baader clickstop adaptor.

I'm really interested in knowing how you go about setting up for a shot like that, are you literally just pointing the camera through the eyepiece or is there a bit more to it than that?
