Came across this site and wondered if anyone had tried their software etc?

Since goto need the RA and the Dec motor whereas AutoTrack only needs the RA I cannot see how it would operate.

Also the electronics and encoders are not present for the required feedback from the mount to the handset. So no feedback means no goto. If the computer doen't know where it is then it cannot goto another position.

Do you not just change the handset to make autotrak a goto? I thought I'd read that was how you upgraded.

Controlling a Supatrak mount using a bluetooth adapter coupled to a suitable interface is feasible. Hacking the Suptrak is a similar way. You can make a device similar to the Ursa Minor Bluetooth device by using a serial bluetooth adapter and a RS232-TTL adapter like this one. The mount can then be controlled by any planetarium program that has telescope control.

That route is also a lot cheaper too
