Where exactly do I place my heated dew shield??

OK, my next dumb question regarding placement of my heated dew shield on my CPC 1100 SCT. I had assumed that the heated band in the base of my dew shield should be across the corrector plate casting, applying heat directly to where the circumference of the corrector plate meets the tube (image B in the attached).

But I saw somewhere on the internet (that I now can't find), the comment that the correct placement should be on the actual OTA, up against the corrector plate casting (image A in the below).

Can someone please advise? Seems like it would be more secure a little further back against the OTA, but obviously my main consideration is the best place to warm the corrector plate.

I use your position 'A" - the front cell is covered by the dew shield.

I use position A also. Works perfectly well for me.
