BAFFLED?

Hi all,

Had some superb skies last night,so thought I'd try some pics.

Attached my Canon G7 directly to the focuser (minus eyepiece) via adapters, but all I get is a view of the mirror assys?

Am I doing something wrong? Obviously yes... But what?

Please, please advise me.

That method, as you've found, doesn't work with cameras like the G7 - it needs a DSLR with a removable lens - fit the body only to the focuser.

You could try imaging through a low power eyepiece, but I think the results may dissappoint.

You can get some good lunar or planetary images with a focal - do a search on that term.

You won't be able to do prime focus without a removable lens, nor project direct from eyepiece to chip.
