Im probably going to sound stupid also probably know what you lot are going to say but here goes...

My Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ came with a x3 Barlow granted its the standard one that probably comes with every one they sell..

My question is do i get a better quality x2 Barlow or stick with what i have?

Thanks in advanced :)

For a short Newtonian a 3x Barlow could work well, provided the optical quality is decent. A 2x barlow is not necessarily better than a 3x. I have two Meade Series 5000 TeleXtenders (fancy Barlows similar to TV PowerMates), and the 3x is as good as the 2x. Just test the Barlow you have, and replace it if it is inadequate.
