Obscured by Clouds

Recommended Posts

Missed the best of the aurora and clear skies through a mixture of overtime and then a wee nap when i got home.I could see the aurora was about half way up the plough from my garden so i had high hopes of getting some good shots.

Unfortunately there was no great gig in the sky, echoes of the last good display i missed. One of these days i'll be better organised.

The skies eventually couded over totally so it was time to get on my bike with a touch of sorrow that i had missed the best of it.

Got home cold but comfortably numb.

Put on the headphones and listed to some music, yep you've guessed it.Midnight Oil:evil6:

Well at least you saw something- keep watching tonight!

There's no chance of anything tonight, tomorrow night however is

another story. The M9 class CME is due to hit the earth tomorow afternoon, thats only about 36 hours after it left the sun so at that speed it should cause quite an impact.

Any Sats. in Polar Orbit may be badly affected it's reported.

Any GPS ones that depend on Centimetre accuracy for sure.

Pity the clouds spoiled it for you Stuart. Still colourful what you did get.

I hope you get another opportunity.

Ron.
