pixinsight 1.7 help?

Hello,What should i use in pixinsight to convert my CR2 files to tiff? and at what bit rate should it be saved to.

I would save you files as Fits not a tiff

Are you trying to stack in pixinsight or just work with a preprocessed file ?

Hi Harry,Im wanting to stack my Raw cr2 images ither for star alignment or for stacking in image intergration,I have found batch format conversion under scrips,would this be the tool to use and then save as a 16bit,I no i could use deep sky stacker but would prefer to use tools in pixinsight.

Star alignment will load up your raw files and out put them as Fits

No need to convert before

I have tried staralign,i load the cr2 files,select the reference frame to align to,select output directery,then click global apply and i get a message PCL Exception,pcl fits format support unable to create fits file?

Well i found what was causing the problem,APT had added (1) on the end of each image file name,I had clicked to add temp data lastweek,will be unclicking that next time,Thanks for trying to help.
