Helen Posted January 19, 2012 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Give it a go!! unless the collimation is unbelivably out you'll see something. Without the finder you'll probably struggle to actually locate anything, but just sweeping the skies with your lowest power eyepiece (biggest number) is fun in its own right! Just remember to focus slowly... its very easy to go through the focus point if you're too quick... once you get a donut showing you need to move in the direction that makes the donut smaller, and keep going until you get point-like starsHave funHelen Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
