Is my scope DSLR suitable?

Slim

Recommended Posts

Looking for advice on whether or not it's worth my while investing in a DSLR camera to use with my 250 PDS. I realise that a SW 80ED would be better but I couldn't afford to buy a new scope and camera. So is my current scope suitable and what will its limitations be?

Hi slim, your 250pds is certainly well suited to a dslr camera type. However, the long focal length and weight will mean that accurate tracking/guiding will be required if you want to take long exposures for DSO imaging. Looks like you have a beefy mount though and could use one of your other scope as a guidescope maybe?
