A trilogy of clusters - M36, M37, M38

I wasn't that bothered with clusters previously but I'm beginning to find them quite fascinating now. These were good targets for early evening last night before my main targets were high enough in the sky. Think I might do M36 again - it was the first image of the evening and the scope hadn't completely cooled down which gives an unfortunate fuzzy effect on one side of the stars until the mirror evens up - makes focussing a pain.

Each cluster was about ten subs of 1 minute at ISO400

Yes great idea doing a trilogy of clusters and good results there as well.

Thanks for that - The beauty was, as they were quite close together, I didn't have to keep re-calibrating the guiding and it only took seconds to slew between them.

Very nice Yeah m36 is a bit different from m37 and m38 you can try to re-make it.
