Messier on the Moon

There have been some fine Luna images posted of late (the Moon being a favorite of mine) and I would urge you all to

check them with a 'fine toothed comb" because you might well find the unexpected.

I found,in the bottom corner of one of my images the double crater Messier and Messier A which I had not seen in the

eye piece. As usual I didn't get arround to checking shots till some time after and so missed the opportunity of obtaining

a close-up of the 'Headlights on the Moon'. I did try to enlarge the section of the wide field view but it's 'not the same'

as the saying goes. :police:

And they are as plain as a pikestaff as the saying goes CW. Well sussed my friend, and gives rise to the fact that when viewing anything through your telescope, whether old favourites, or fairly new targets, a cursory glance is never sufficient to absorb all there is to see.

The moon especially can supply eyepiece views that can stop you in your tracks, but, as you have just demonstrated, if you don't really look, and I mean really look, you will miss a lot of good stuff.

Great image by the way.
