different deep field between the 314L+ & the 40D

Hello every body,

So, last December 26th 2011 I had a shot of ngc 4565 with my 40d because I never did before and I will see what about the difference between my ccd and my 40d !

So, there is the first image done with my ccd Atik 314L+ June 15th 2011 in Luminance with 24 x 300s:

After that, I taken this image with my 40D December 26th 2011 and with 15 x 360s at 640 iso:

Off course it is not beautiful image because there is some trames and gradient but it was to compare these images with deep field.

I hope you will appreciate it.

This certainly shows the difference between a CCD and a DSLR.

With the 24x300 shots - have you tried image resolution enhancement? It should help to pick out additional detail (and the face you have low noise and good registration will all add to the output).
