latest Mods on my Dob

Recommended Posts

This week i have made a few improvements to the dob,

1: covered the friction surface of the base with some laminex as the ply face was a little rough for the teflon sheet .

2: marked up the base with setting circle lines i used a print off rob willets setting circle page http://settingcircles.robertwillett.com/ and transposed them on to my base with felt pen , as the base diameter is 600mm the scale on the edge was pretty close to 1" for 10 degrees which is pretty good resolution for a dob, see pics.

see my other post regarding setting up in daylight.
