TMB 9mm planetary II eye piece for 150p dob, to buy or not to buy?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm looking for one eye piece which I can say is a good quality piece, I have seen the TMB 9mm planetary II for £39 and was wondering wether this will be a wise choice for my scope.

I like to observe Jupiter and the moon and hopefully Saturn soon and I thought this piece might be a Good choice, I would like some opinions from anyone or those that use or have used these pieces.

Thanks...Ricky

i haven't used that particular eyepiece, but i've read that they are quite nice. however, i used to have the 200p, which is the same focal length as yours with a bigger aperture, and i'd say that you could probably use a bit more mag for jupiter and saturn. maybe a 6mm or an 8mm? they give 200x and 150x in your scope. the 8mm bst explorer is nice.
