Jupiter beyween the clouds

I wish I could say this is a first attempt at webcam imaging but it's the first I'm not too embarrassed to share :D

I had some unsuccessful goes at Saturn earlier this year, then let my SW barlow go with a scope I sold. With getting a TAL x 2 barlow recently I thought I would have a go at Jupiter.

This is using the Skywatcher 150p (f5) on a motorised CG5 mount, TAL x2 barlow and a flashed Philips CPC900 webcam from Morgans. Capture software Sharpcap and then processed in Registax. Only 800 frames caught between clouds at about 8:45 this evening.

Thanks for that Cosmicdonkey. My interest is in visual observing but with webcams being relatively cheap, I thought it would be worth having a go.

I been reading thru the embarrassing Jupiter thread and found the astronomy shed videos on YouTube helpful.
