Replacement thumbscrews for Skywatcher/Celestron Flexible Control Cables

Has anyone replaced the standard 'domed' tumbscrews for these with something they have sourced elsewhere as I have sheared one and need a replacement(s)?

I think they're a standard M4 thread so you should be able to find some metric bolts on eBay that should do.

I've got a spare one from a broken slo-mo cable that you can have if you want it. Just PM me your address and I'll pop it in the post.

Found, and ordered some replacements (from Westfield Fasteners) which suit the job perfectly!

A2 Stainless M4 Socket Head Cap Screws (DIN 912)

Here's how it compares to an original screw:

3mm Allen Key fits this one.

They do look just a little bit stronger than the cheap junk that comes with the cables.

We'll see how they hold up but they fit like a dream with just a little tightening of the Allen Key. Ordered ten of them which came to just under a fiver (inc. P&P) and arrived within a couple of days.

Thread itself is 2mm shorter (6mm thread) than the original screw so have even more clearance when using them.
