Active USB extension Cable, Will it work???

Hi all, I've decided to try and setup my old desktop out in the garage instead of having to buy a new laptop. I'm going to buy an extension cable for the monitor and an active usb extension (of 10 metres) so that I can keep the desktop tower safely in the garage, away from dew, and run a dmk camera (which I will buy with money saved from not buying the laptop) from the back garden.

My question concerns the use of the active usb extension cable (this one for example... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Active-Repeater-Extension-Cable-Lead/dp/B004KNM3NU/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324155017&sr=1-1 ) will the cable be able to handle the DMK (upto 60fps) without any degradation of signal. In short, will my plan work???

should do the job, I used 5 to link my 1000D to my pc upstairs from the back garden

Might be worth running it from a powered hub if you get issues.

For what it is worth, I run all of my obsy darkside off a 5m cable, including two cameras.

I have taken th quiet period to re-organise my cables and realised I had a power hub at the mount with one camera attached to. 5m cable to hub and then another 5m cable to warm room. Waste, so now just pass the cable directly and avoid an extra power supply and potential issues.
