Where do people source bits and bobs - e.g. for diy projects like an EQ mount?

Recommended Posts

In the UK places like B&Q and Screwfix cannot possibly supply all the rollers and brackets required. E.g to make a bracket for a roller one can either go for a bulky wooden block, or to make (from what) a metal bracket like [

The smallest components tend to be the hardest to get, even on places like ebay.

Dear Diy-ers, some advice would be greatly appreciated!

plumbing centres all sizes of threaded steel piping , flanges and tee bar screw them all together not to tight to make a basic alt/az mount ( you use the the threaded pipe and flanges to move it so mark it so you dont total unscrew it when using it or else disaster) then make your self a wooden eq wedge and bolt it to the bottom add a counter weight to the oppsite end of the t bar and then you got one cheap eq mount
