someone help out here, is the PDS the shorten version to allow DSLR's to focus. I believe it is and if so, as said you should be fine.

You can get focus on both the P & the PDS, but you get a bit more spare focus travel on the slightly shorter PDS tubes.

What you will probably want is a coma corrector to flatten the edges of the field that are slightly curved on newts. That will screw onto your T mount which attaches to the camera body. You then get round stars at the edges of the field of view.
