Lap top for imaging in the field

Can anyone please recommend a good cheap(ish) lap top for imaging in the field?

It needs to - be light, on the small side and robust as well - as I'm clumsy & will probably drop it:)

- run well from a 12V leisure battery (which also powers the mount).

- have 3 USB 2.0 ports (1 for a Mead DSI II guiding camera, 1 for the Shoe string astronomy link to the mount and the last to conect to the DSLR for Canon Utiliies).

- have and large(ish) hard drive and adjustable screen brightness (so I don't annoy too many people at SGL7!).

Any suggestions?

I have a HP Pavilion at the moment which I have to run using an DC to AC inverter. The HPs battery no longer works and I guess it would be better in the long run for me to get a new Lap top and remove the AC current from the set up.
