HitecAstro DCFocus 12v Mains adapter?

For a Christmas present SWMBO has brought me a HitecDC Focus.

As I have a Obs/warm room set up, I am looking to power this from the mains.

I don't really want a 12V Battery trip hazard on the floor.....

Does any one know the MAX amp draw for this device?

I do not want to invalidate the warranty,by chopping off the 12v Cigarette plug.

I have sesarched on the internet, with several results.

Mainly phone charger converters.

Starting at 450ma up to 1A (as per photo)

Maplins do a 12V 5A converter.

Is this OTT?

The one you link to is fine, but the fan in it is a PITA.

I had one, but switched it for these two items:

(2nd one down)

I have a three way cigar adapter too and the PSU has plenty left over to power other stuff too (dew heaters, etc).

Is their a problem with this type of fan?
