BTW... is through the QHY8L ? there isnt a great deal of reviews and images on the web about this camera..

Yep this was through the QHY8L and the trusty old faithful revelation 100ed

I have a few opinions on the QHY8L.

First of all for its price its a bargain, basically a better DSLR with the added advantage of low noise and set point cooling.

However QHY like to have an external box of tricks which i think does the camera no favours id like to see it all wrapped up in one box, with a USB port and Power in port nothing else. This will however increase the unit weight.

Second point as this is a OSC I would like the option to be able to remove the IR filter and CCD cover and replace it direct with a CLS CCD Filter (this can only be done by a MOD which it a trick missed imo) basically to go along with less glass is better.

I would also not include the odd adapter it has i would have it just a T-Thread. which is there if you remove the adapter.
