Devon: best viewing locations?

Has anyone got recommendations for the best locations to stargaze in Devon or surrounding areas? I presume Exmoor & Dartmoor but would like to know if there are any specific locations that are better than others or any spots astronomers tend to frequent?

Would be useful to know where you are.

Distance from North to South Devon isn't a 10 minutes drive.

Honiton is in Devon and so is Plymouth and about close to two hours drive apart, A38+A30.

How about Sidmouth at the Norman Lockyear Observatory.

It really is useful to have some idea of where you are.

i go to the norman lockyer observatory friday nights when i can. good spot, great people, lots of exceptional equipment (10" refractor anyone?).

Went to the Norman Lockyer Observatory open day earlier in the year. Had a great time, friendly bunch of people.

Thanks for the information. I am aware of the Norman Lockyer observatory. I went to the open day plus an introduction to astronomy lecture day.

BTW I live in Exeter
