Camcorder use?

Hi all

Due to the rarity of the spc880/900 webcams i wondered if my camcorder would be good enough?

I use a Canon MV5i mini DV camcorder for planetary imaging, it seems to give at least as good a result as the SPC 900.

Thanks for that peter. I saw that it's sensitivity is 0.4 lux which is good, and the high resolution should help to squeeze every last ounce from the seeing. Being so small and light helps aswell.

I use one with my SCT when I fancy a look at planets, it'll get some use with Mars Jupiter and Saturn this season, and also quite good on the moon.

The live view screen on mine is ideal for showing guests and kids what the scope is seeing.

I attach it to a Hyperion Zoom EP and work that way.
