A wonderful overview Chris, I especially liked your narrative about desperately willing the clouds to shift and getting a glimpse just before sunset, that happens to me all the time only it never clears before sunset I'm glad I am not the only one to pace around in frustration.

You see Alexandra, Arizona is JUST LIKE Cheshire! I bet you even have cactuses. And maybe your sunsets are like these taken a mile from my home in Arizona:

We get some lovely sunrises and sunsets in Caithness, and cactuses..of course!......in pots indoors!

Ahh Chris! those sunsets are fabulous. I think sometimes a good sunset (or sunrise) is very good for the soul.

I have cactuses too, but on the windowsill, I think they would drown outside
