managed a few hours last night, although it was a real struggle to keep the dew of the lenses even with a dew band fitted.

still managed a few shots of the Moon with a webcam.

Both fine images, I prefer the first image. Looks nice & crisp, but retains the natural look.

I only have the F6.3 reducer, but if the difference is so noticable, I may have to invest

thats the only trouble with the webcams, they get very close to the action with a 8" sct being 2000mm focal length, great for close ups of course. i would have had a go with the f6.3 reducer and done a comparision but everything was misting up and the battery on my laptop was dying so i only managed to get 1000 frames on each image, then i used the best 20-30% of them so ended up with about 250 usable frames in each

i`ve got a few barlows, ranging from 2x, 2.5x, 3x, and a 5x which i have used on planets, i did try the smaller ones on the Moon once and it does get you very close indeed
