Can a canon SX40 be used with a telescope and if so what would it take to set it up also what about a Panasonic FZ40 I own both of them and was trying to see if I could use either for doing pics of the moon. Thanks Taz

Have you seen this? http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-lunar/166416-moon-7-12-11-canon-sx40hs-no-scope.html#post2061812

Taz, as you cannot remove the lens on either camera, you can't use them at prime focus (replace the ep with a camera). You can use the afocal method, hold the camera to an ep and take a shot though it. The moon should work that way. The planets may work.
