Moon with DSLR

This is an attempt with canon 450d + 300m Tamron (m42) + helios 3x converter (m42).

Taken 4 November - seeing wasn't the best as there was a lot of moisture in the air and some thin wispy cloud across the moon.

300mm lens - £10 - carboot

teleconverter 90p+ £4p+p - ebay

This is the result of 8 shots stacked with GRIP and a unsharp mask applied in paintshop pro.

I have previously taken images of the moon with camera + telescope but it ends up as a mosaic. I wanted a setup where I could do some quick shots. (The camera won't focus staright into the telescope so I ended up using a 3x telenegative barlow).
